Brussels Santa Claus Parade
This year’s Brussels Santa Claus parade is set for Saturday, Nov. 30, one full week after its Huron East counterpart Seaforth holds its parade.
The parade begins at 5 p.m. at the Brussels, Morris and Grey Community Centre, making its way north through the town before coming out onto the main street and heading south. The parade then works its way back to the community centre where there will be visits with Santa Claus, free skating at the arena and food and games for everyone.
Many local businesses, residents and service clubs get in the holiday spirit and prepare floats for one of the best Santa Claus parades in Huron County.
The Brussels Santa Claus parade also includes a colouring contest for anyone who’s old enough to colour up to the age of 12 to get in touch with their artistic side, and get in the Christmas spirit all at the same time.
As for the parade, awards will be handed out, honouring the year’s best floats.
The Brussels Santa Claus parade is always one of the most important days on the village’s calendar, bringing out hundreds to the streets and to the community centre to celebrate the holiday with a tremendous sense of community.
